Our Team

We have a team of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in the field of education and a deep commitment to our students, the educational project of Montessori Schoolhouse, and the future of our society.

The stability and high-quality training of our teaching staff are our top priorities. The Montessori Schoolhouse faculty is composed of professionals from various countries who, having established themselves in our city, bring a valuable combination of cultural diversity and stability to the school. All of our Montessori teachers have been trained by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) at renowned training centers, such as the University of Vic in Barcelona (through the Montessori Institute of San Diego), the Maria Montessori Institute in London, and the MIRCT (Montessori Palau International Research and Training Center).

YOLANDA GARRIDO

Head of School and Founder of Montessori Schoolhouse. Yolanda leads Montessori Schoolhouse with certainty that education is the key to our society. Yolanda received her Montessori AMI guide training for 0 to 3 year olds from the University of Vic, with Silvia Dubovoy. She also received her Montessori AMI Primary training from MIRCT, Montessori Palau International Research and Training Center, with Kay Baker. Yolanda also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Humanities.

ANA FERNÁNDEZ

Head of Administration. Ana studied in ISSA School of Applied Management from the University of Navarra. She has also completed the AMI Montessori Assistant course for the Children’s House level. Ana has been working with us since 2016.

FÁTIMA PEÑA

Infant Community Lead Guide. Fátima received her Infant Community and Children’s House AMI training from the University of Vic. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience and has been working with us since the school opened. She is about to become one of the few AMI trainers for the 0 to 3 year old stage at international level. Fatima also holds a Spanish public school teaching degree for the Elementary school level.

AUBRIE CAMPBELL

Guide in Infant Community. Aubrie received her training at the University of Vic as an AMI guide in the 0-3 and 3-6 stages. She has been teaching English as a second language to babies and toddlers for more than 10 years and has been working at MSL since 2017. Aubrie also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Amherst College.

RACHEL DA COSTA

Infant Community and Children’s House Assistant. Rachel was born in Namibia and her native language is English. She has dedicated her professional career to teaching children English. She has been working with us since 2020.

DANIELLE DESLAURIERS

Children’s House Lead Guide. Danielle has more than 14 years of teaching experience and has worked at the 3-6 stage at Montessori Schoolhouse Logroño since our doors opened. In addition to her AMI teaching diploma for the 0-3 and 3-6 stages, she also obtained her Master’s Degree in Montessori Pedagogy from the University of Vic in Cataluña. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. In addition to her work in the field of education, she also has research experience in the fields of Developmental Neuroscience and Second Language Acquisition.

VERÓNICA SÁENZ

Veronica received her training to become an AMI Children ‘s House Guide from the University of Vic. She has more than 10 years of experience as a teacher and psychometrician. She has been at MSL since 2017. Veronica is an early childhood and primary education teacher and has a Master’s Children’s House Guide. Degree in Educational Psychomotricity and an AMI Montessori Sports diploma. Veronica is also in charge of psychomotor skills at Children ‘s House and physical education at Elementary. She also has a training in aiding children with dyslexia and literacy development.

CAROLINE WRIGHT

Lower Elementary Lead Guide.

Caroline received her AMI training as an Elementary Montessori guide at the Montessori Institute in London. She has more than 10 years of experience as a primary teacher and has been working at MSL since 2016. Caroline also has a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Spanish Philology.

BEGOÑA GARCÍA-BAQUERO

Guide in Lower Elementary and Spanish Language and Culture Teacher. Begoña received her training as an Elementary Montessori AMI guide at the Montessori Institute in London. She is a Primary Education teacher and responsible for teaching Spanish Language and Culture at the Elementary stages. She has been working with us since 2018. She also has a degree in Journalism, with more than ten years of experience in the field of communication. and holds a C2 level in English from the Official School of Languages.

DIANA ROMERO

English Literacy Teacher in Elementary. Diana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She has more than 3 years of teaching experience in the United States and in Spain and has been working at MSL since 2021. In addition to being the English Literacy teacher, she is also the extracurricular English teacher.

MARTÍN PARAÍSO

Upper Elementary Lead Guide. Martin received his training as a Montessori AMI Elementary Guide at MIRCT, Montessori Palau International Research and Training Center, with the prestigious trainer, Kay Baker. He has taught for more than 10 years in primary and secondary and has been teaching at MSL since 2020. Martín is also an industrial engineer and holds a C2 level diploma in English.

FAIRUZ MAJID

Guide in Upper Elementary and Art and English Language Teacher. Fairuz received her training as an AMI Montessori Primary Guide at MIRCT, Montessori Palau International Research and Training Center. Fairuz has more than 17 years of teaching experience in international schools in Hong Kong and Madrid. She has been at MSL since the school opened. She coordinates the “Celebration of the Artist” project and, since 2021, has been a guide in Upper Elementary as well as an English language teacher in this classroom. Fairuz holds a degree in Fine Arts with History of Art from the University of Leeds and in International Early Childhood Education from the University of Nottingham.

LUISA GARCÍA

School Custodian. Luisa is in charge of general maintenance and all the details for the correct functioning of the day-to-day at the school. She has been with MSL since its opening.

ANA ARAMAYO

Cook. Ana studied kitchen management at the Hotel and Restaurant Management School in Santo Domingo de la Calzada and lived more than 5 years in London. She has been working with us since 2021.
